    Primate of OCU thanks NBU Chairman for coins commemorating Tomos

    Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the National Bank of Ukraine for enshrining the memory of the historical event of the life of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church with a recent coin minting.     Religious experts in Kyiv discuss concept of Sophianism in Ukrainian culture and Kyivan Church

    The colloquium at the Institute of Philosophy in Kyiv, which took place on April 5, themed “The Concept of Sophianism of Ukrainian Culture and Kyivan Church,” gathered a large number of participants. The colloquium was organized by the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Commission on Interreligious and Inter-Confessional Relations, the Open Orthodox University and the Ukrainian Catholic University.

    Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers responds to UOC-MP call to revoke Tomos

    The Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate has called to revoke the Tomos of autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in order to abolish the autocephaly of the OCU. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kyrylenko posted it on Twitter, according to UNN.

    Occupation authorities of Crimea to take OCU to court

    The Russian authorities in Crimea filed a lawsuit with the requirement to vacate the building in the center of Simferopol, which is now held by the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU). The Minister of Land and Property Relations of Crimea, Anna Aniukhina, told the Russian news agency TASS that the OCU failed to re-register the necessary documents and “is out of the legal framework”, Krym.Realii report.

    A building for FSB officers to be built in Simferopol on OCU cathedral allocated plot

    No church of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine will remain in Simferopol, in the occupied Crimea. Instead of the church, the occupiers started building on the plot housing units for Russian FSB employees.     Occupiers seize only church belonging to OCU in Simferopol

    On March 27, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in Crimea suffered a new encroachment on freedom of religion by the occupation authorities. Archbishop Yevstratiy (Zorya) of Nizhyn and Chernihiv wrote this on his Facebook page, according to Priamyy.
