Dmytro Lubinets, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is preparing an appeal to the Economic and Social Council of the UN regarding the compliance of the World Russian People's Council (WRPC) with UN values. The Council recently adopted a resolution with genocidal rhetoric and disrespect for the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Lubinets announced this on Telegram, as reported by Glavkom.

As the Ombudsman reported, on March 27 in Moscow, under the chairmanship of the head of the World Russian People's Council, an organization under the auspices of the ROC, a resolution entitled "The Present and Future of the Russian World" was adopted. According to Lubinets, the document is addressed to the legislative and executive authorities in Russia.

The resolution begins with the definition of a "special military operation" (SMO) and its role in building the "Russian world." It is stated that "after the completion of the SMO, the entire territory of modern Ukraine should enter the zone of exclusive influence of Russia. The possibility of the existence of a Russophobic, hostile to Russia and its people, political regime on this territory, as well as a regime controlled from an external center hostile to Russia, must be completely excluded," Lubinets reported.

He pointed out that the resolution also mentions that Russia plans to solve its demographic problems through the "mass repatriation… of people ready for linguistic and cultural integration," as well as through the introduction of "an education system to bring it into line with the basic parameters of the sovereign Russian worldview" using the occupied territories and the Ukrainian population living there.

He emphasized that this will have significant consequences for preserving Ukrainian identity in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and will have irreparable consequences for children and youth.

The Ukrainian Ombudsman drew attention to this document for several reasons:

Firstly, it legitimizes propaganda activities at the level of central legislative and executive authorities, which are part of the Presidium of the organization;

Secondly, the deputy chairman of the organization is Konstantin Malofeev, a well-known Russian oligarch. He was involved in financing the campaign to occupy Crimea in 2014 and is currently under sanctions. However, his confiscated property in the United States will be transferred to Ukraine due to their violation.

In addition, despite the genocidal rhetoric and disrespect for the territorial integrity of a sovereign state - Ukraine, led by the Russian political elite, as well as the WRPC under its control, this organization has consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council. This Council is the central mechanism for coordinating the activities of the UN system and its specialized agencies and overseeing subsidiary bodies in economic, social, environmental, and related fields.

"Therefore, I am preparing an appeal to the Economic and Social Council of the UN regarding the compliance of this non-governmental organization with the goals and objectives in accordance with the values of the UN. It is important that the resolution of the Economic and Social Council states that the organization must play an important role in promoting the goals and objectives of the UN," the Ombudsman reported.

He also said that the Russian Federation uses access to specialized institutions and subsidiary bodies of the UN to promote its propaganda goals and sow hatred and disrespect for human rights, peace, and stability in the world.

As reported, the ROC Congress blessed Putin for the complete destruction of Ukraine. These principles were enshrined by the Russian Orthodox Church in the new Decree of the XXV World Russian People's Council, "The Present and Future of the Russian World".
