On August 23, on the eve of Ukraine's Independence Day, Monsignor Peter Vaccari, the President of the charitable organization "CNEWA", arrived in Kyiv. In particular, he visited Irpin and Makariv, where those in need received humanitarian assistance from the Patriarchal Foundation "Mudra Sprava".

In June, the President of the charitable organization "CNEWA" made a visit to Lviv. This time, visiting cities that were occupied by the aggressor during the initial months of Russia's full-scale invasion, Monsignor Peter Vaccari noted that he once again witnessed the unwavering spirit of the Ukrainian people. This was reported by the Information Department of the UGCC.

"First and foremost, these are significant testimonies for many of our donors from Canada and the United States, so they can see the suffering of the Ukrainian people, particularly in this region in Irpin, Bucha, and Makariv. It's so that they can respond to this suffering and see the assistance being provided to those in need through food packages and psychological support. All of this is aimed at helping local communities recover after the war," noted Monsignor Peter Vaccari.

The charitable organization "CNEWA," led by Peter Vaccari, has actively contributed to aiding Ukrainians affected by the war since 2014. In particular, "CNEWA" has directly participated in funding food packages. Only for such humanitarian aid packages during 2022-2023, the organization allocated over 1 million US dollars.

In turn, Father Lubomyr Yavorsky, the Patriarchal Economist of the UGCC, sincerely thanked the organization "CNEWA" for their years-long cooperation and assistance to Ukrainians.

"One of the largest projects for which we sincerely thank you and which you could witness today is the formation of food packages and their distribution to those who need them most in different parts of our Ukraine," emphasized Father Lubomyr Yavorsky.
