Sunday Adelaja Not to Be Broadcasted by TRC KYIV Any More

Monitoring conducted on  September 21-28 registered violations of the licensed broadcasting, in particular, systematic (including weekend) divine services of the Embassy of God with the participation of Pastor Sunday Adelaja.

These complaints about the program of Sunday Adelaja, which were voiced at the preliminary meeting of the National Council on TV and Radio Broadcast on September 29, are viewed by the acting general manager of the TV Radio Company Kyiv, Dmytro Dzhangirov as an expression of xenophobia and racism. “We broadcast eight religious Protestant programs. They all are paid for, but only one is mentioned. An Orthodox program “Sophia” is broadcasted free of charge: this are my views, so to say. All denominations can be present on the air,” added Mr. Dzhangirov.

At the same time, Dmytro Dzhangirov promised to give up broadcasting “all the Protestant programs and to broadcast the Orthodox and other canonical religions free if the owner agrees.”

“If Adelaja is a problem for the prolongation of the license, Adelaja will not be on air tomorrow. I am ready to accept all the consitions,” http://www.telekritika.ua quoted him saying.
