The Orthodox community of the Crimean city of Sebastopol calls the city council not to approve the allocation of land for a monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate (UOC-KP).

_1w.jpgSEBASTOPOL The Orthodox community of the Crimean city of Sebastopol calls the city council not to approve the allocation of land for a monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate (UOC-KP).  This was stated by Pavlo Butsai, a representative of the Center of Protection of Family and Child “Rusychi,” as he commented to Novyi Rehion  about the fact that the planning council of the City Hall approved a decision to allocate to UOC-KP 61 hectares of land in the village of Morozivka.  RISU’s Ukrainian-language web site posted this story on February 12, 2010.

“Now this question is to be approved by the deputies of the city hall. All the Sebastopol Orthodox patriotic organizations will object to allocating them a single small plot of land in Sebastopol. We will control this issue,” said Butsai.
