On May 31, 2023, the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Sviatoslav, warned of the danger of dividing Ukrainian society into different factions.

According to the Information Department of the UGCC, during the presentation of his book "Tell Me the Truth: Dialogues on the Meaning of Life" in Lviv, Sviatoslav stated, "What is the great danger? The division of Ukrainian society into different factions. And there is a danger that a certain part of Ukrainian society begins to live as if there was no war. That is a catastrophe."

Sviatoslav considers one of the most dangerous challenges to be the attempt to burden the weight of war solely on a small group of combatants or those who suffer. He emphasized, "If the part of society that today shields Ukraine with their chests feels that you are alienated from them, even on a domestic level, mentally alienated, it will be very difficult for them. Because we can only prevail when we stand together to defend our Homeland."

"Every time explosions occur in Kyiv and the heart of Lviv trembles, then we are invincible," emphasized the Head of UGCC.

"In Lviv as well," Sviatoslav notes, "you must understand that each of you has your own checkpoint that you are not allowed to surrender. Perhaps, for you students, your checkpoint is your education. If you are studying, be the best, and surprise the world with your success. Then, be certain that we will be absolutely invincible."
