Ukrainian Priest Killed in Sumy

On December 12, a dead body of a man was found near the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Sumy. It was the body of the senior priest of the church, Archimandrite Tryfilii (Halan) of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate.

According to the head of the PR Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sumy Region, Elvira Biganova, it was a patrol officer who first reported the incident. An investigation is being conducted.

The representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sumy Oblast promised to provide the details regarding the incident to RISU in the nearest future.
