The head of the World Youth Day Organizing Committee to visit Ukraine

According to the website of the RCC, Bishop Americo expressed his desire to visit Ukraine and meet with Ukrainian youth who will participate in World Youth Day, as well as with those who cannot attend the gathering in Lisbon.

On July 15, Bishop Americo Aguiar is scheduled to meet with the youth of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Zarvanytsia, and on July 16, he will meet with the youth of the Roman Catholic Church during the central festive celebrations at the All-Ukrainian Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Holy Scapular in Berdychiv. During the festivities in Berdychiv, a message from Ukrainian youth to the World Youth Day will be delivered.

It is worth noting that on Sunday, July 9, Pope Francis announced the names of new cardinals who will be inducted into the College of Cardinals during the consistory on September 30, 2023. Among the new cardinals is Bishop Americo Aguiar.
