In the occupied city of Kherson, priests of the UOC-MP (Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate) reported on each other to the Russians.

Bishop Nikodim, the head of the Kherson Eparchy of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU), revealed this in an interview with the MOST media outlet.

According to him, a group of collaborating priests from the Kherson Eparchy of the UOC-MP reported on their colleagues. The report was written because some clerics of the Moscow Church did not actively support the Russian occupiers, and they were considered to have pro-Ukrainian sentiments, said the bishop.

Bishop Nikodim attributed the initiation of the report to Father Hennadiy Shkilya from Hola Prystan and Father Oleksandr Fedorov from Kherson.

"One part of the representatives of the Kherson Eparchy of the Moscow Patriarchate acted as active collaborators. And this part was against those who did not actively support, i.e., those who they considered pro-Ukrainian. They wrote some kind of denunciation, naming their fellow brothers. I got hold of that letter," Bishop Nikodim said.

According to the OCU bishop, this letter was sent to him from Kyiv.

"I looked at it, and it surprised me; they did not name any cleric from our eparchy there. They were settling scores among themselves. Shkil is notorious in those places," the bishop emphasized.
