The ground blessing/sod turning ceremony took place on-site on Sunday, July 8, 2018 and was presided over by Bishop David Motiuk, Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton and Reverend Rendy Yackimec, Parish Priest of St. Sophia Parish. The construction site on Baseline Road and Range Road 224 is a busy place with a scheduled completion date in the Summer of 2019. With the assistance of Very Rev.
