    Jehovah’ Witnesses in Ukraine hosted a series of Bible exhibitions

    The exhibition was hosted by several cities in Ukraine, including Lviv, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, and Odesa. Before each of the exhibitions, printed and video invitations were sent out to deaf and hard-of-hearing people. The Ukraine branch of the Public Information Desk also sent out invitations to the media, educators as well as state officials.

    Russia comes for Jehovah’s Witnesses in occupied Crimea

    New armed searches by FSB and special force officers have been carried out of the homes of Jehovah’s Witnesses in occupied Sevastopol, with one man, Viktor Stashevsky, arrested. Although released from custody the next day, the 52-year-old believer is facing criminal charges which could carry a prison sentence of up to 10 years. Russia has reverted to Soviet practice in persecuting Jehovah’s Witnesses for their faith, and it is now bringing this repression to occupied Crimea.

    Russian law-enforcement in Crimea search members of Jehovah's Witnesses that is banned in Russia

    The searches were conducted from 7:00 in the morning in the houses of seven Crimea residents in Yalta, Hurzuf, and other settlements. As the representative of the Center of Jehovah's Witnesses in Ukraine, Ivan Riger, said, “the searches were conducted in the homes of a father of two young children, a doctor and average working people.” This is reported by Krym.Realii.

    CRIMEA: Up to 10 years' jail for Muslims, Jehovah's Witness?

    In "extremism" criminal cases opened by Russia's FSB in occupied Crimea, four Muslims face imminent trial, while Jehovah's Witness Sergei Filatov is under investigation. They face up to 10 years' jail. The Muslims "simply gathered in the local mosque to discuss religious questions", a lawyer stated. "We simply ask the authorities to respect our rights to meet together and read the Bible," Filatov told Forum 18.

    In the annexed Dzhankoi, Russian FSB officers have raided and detained at several addresses possible members of Jehovah's Witnesses. This organization is banned in Russia, and is de facto banned in the annexed Crimea.

    DONBAS: Luhansk: Re-registration denials, raids, religious communities closed

    No Baptist, Seventh-day Adventist or Pentecostal communities gained the compulsory re-registration the self-declared Luhansk People's Republic demanded by 15 October. Adventists received registration denial "with great pain" and reluctantly halted all their activities, trying to avoid church property seizure. Catholics are still awaiting an answer.

    Supreme Court of DPR bans Jehovah’s Witnesses
