President Poroshenko met with representatives of Ukrainian and Jewish communities in the United States

"It is increasingly important for Ukrainians to feel the unity of the world today," the Head of State said, informs Presidential Administration.

"Ukrainians will never lose, because truth is with us, God is with us, we are defending our land. It is not us who came to the foreign territory. And it doesn't matter what language Ukrainians speak: Crimean Tatar, Ukrainian, Russian or European," Petro Poroshenko said.

The President granted the Order of Princess Olga of the III grade to President of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America Tamara Gallo-Olexy.

In the course of the meeting with Ukrainian community in New York, President Petro Poroshenko granted the Order of Danylo Halytsky to the family of American Ukrainian Mark Paslawsky, known by the codename "Franko", who was killed in Donbas defending the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine from militants and occupants.

The President met with representatives of Jewish communities and organizations of the United States.

The Head of State thanked for support provided by the Jewish community in these difficult times for Ukraine. “We are fighting for freedom and democracy, and we will manage to win this struggle only with the assistance of the entire world,” Petro Poroshenko said.

President Petro Poroshenko and his wife Maryna paid tribute to the victims of 9/11 in New York.
