Ukraine and Vatican discuss humanitarian aid and the release of the Ukrainians captives held by Russia

As part of the participation of the Ukrainian delegation in the 26th meeting of the OSCE Council of foreign Ministers, Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Prystayko met with Secretary for interstate relations of the Holy See Paul Richard Gallagher.

As part of the participation of the Ukrainian delegation in the 26th meeting of the OSCE Council of foreign Ministers, Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadym Prystayko met with Secretary for interstate relations of the Holy See Paul Richard Gallagher. On December 5, the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

During the meeting, Vadym Prystayko expressed gratitude for the solidarity of the Vatican and Pope Francis personally with Ukraine and assistance at a point when our state is resisting the armed aggression of Russia.
The parties confirmed their common intention to intensify bilateral dialogue, discussed cooperation on the release of Ukrainian citizens illegally held by Russia, as well as the possibility of further attracting humanitarian assistance from the Holy See to Ukraine.
