Metropolitan Epifaniy and Ambassador of Greece discussed the prospects of developing OCU

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated the First Hierarch on the recognition of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine by the Church of Greece and on the presentation of the honorary award of Patriarch Athenagoras.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues. They discussed, in particular, the situation in the East of our country, the state and prospects for the development of the local Ukrainian Orthodox Church, interreligious and interfaith relations etc.

In addition, Metropolitan Epifaniy told the guest about his recent visit at the head of the delegation of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine to the United States of America and the development of spiritual education in our Church. The First Hierarch noted that today only our institutions of higher spiritual education have received state recognition and hundreds of students study in them.
