“At the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission, Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukrainine Vadym Chernysh briefed the participants on the current humanitarian situation in Donbas. He also spoke about Ukraine's efforts to restore critical infrastructure in the region, first of all – water supply, as well as about the consequences for the civilian population of the aggression of the Russian Federation in the east of Ukraine,” the press service reports.

As it was explained in the mission, the meeting was attended by representatives of NATO member states at the ambassadorial level, it was chaired by the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

“Also attending the meeting was the head of the mission of Ukraine to NATO Vadym Prystaiko, who briefed the audience on the deterioration of the security situation in the waters of the Azov Sea due to the destructive actions of the Russian Federation. In his speech, he pointed out the potential risks and security challenges in connection with the threats of the Russian Federation to respond to the proclamation of autocephaly of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church,” said the interlocutor of UNN.

“As a result, it can be stated that all Allies in their speeches have renewed their support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity of Ukraine within internationally recognized borders and have jointly concluded that the suffering of the civilian population on both sides of the line of separation is the result of highly aggressive actions on the part of the Russian Federation,” the mission emphasized.
