The bishops from 14 countries prayed for the healing of the wounds of the Ukrainian nation inflicted by the Genocide of 1932-1933 and against the reoccurrence of similar tragedies.

On the eve of the event, in answer to the question whether the wounds of Ukrainians have healed, Patriarch Sviatoslav stated in an interview to the publication “Our Sobor” that when such a tremendous human tragedy is silenced, it is not conducive to healing the wounds.

“We still have to become mature enough for everyone, who denies the fact of the Genocide in Ukraine, to be considered both in Ukraine and worldwide as an accomplice or person justifying this crime which cannot be justified!” said the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, reported the Information Department of UGCC.
