Bishop Vitaly Krivitsky, chairing the AUCCRO, conveyed greetings to Volodymyr Zelensky on the occasion of the inauguration as head of the Ukrainian state on May 20 in Kyiv, the Institute of Religious Freedom reports.

“The last five years were difficult for the Ukrainian society, but the next five years will not be easy: Ukraine faces the same challenges. In addition to counteracting ongoing Russian aggression, Ukrainian society is striving to build a truly European democratic state with justice and the rule of law based on moral values,” reads the greeting letter of the AUCCRO.

Members of the AUCCRO wished President Zelensky the wisdom of the Almighty God, the inspiration, decent managers and good counselors, “to use the unique resource of great public trust for historical transformations in favor of the people of Ukraine.” For its part, the AUCCRO expressed its readiness to support Volodymyr Zelensky on the path of positive changes and reforms, the establishment of justice and peace, which our Ukrainian state needs.

Religious leaders also suggested establishing a systematic dialogue and interaction on the basis of a partnership between the President of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, which represents about 95% of all religious communities in Ukraine, in particular Orthodox, Greek and Roman Catholic, Evangelical Protestant, Jewish, and Muslim.

Heads of confessions expect that President Volodymyr Zelensky will have a personal meeting with the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations in the near future.

The Council of Evangelical Protestant Churches of Ukraine also congratulated the new President and assured Volodymyr Zelensky of their willingness to develop a dialogue and constructive cooperation with the leadership of the state in order to establish understanding, social harmony and unity in the Ukrainian society, and assist in solving urgent problems of our country.

The greetings of the AUCCRO were published on their official website.
