Ukraine will intensify fire protection on its own historical sites. Commenting on the fire in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Paris, Ukrainian Culture Minister Yevhen Nyshchuk said on the 112 Ukraine TV, informs Channel 24.

According to him, all the involved departments in Ukraine will be given individual instructions.

For us, this is also a very edifying thing, because we also have millennium-old monuments where restoration works are underway. Obviously, we will now intensify all safety and fire prevention measures. There will also be separate orders in Ukraine concerning the management which should pay attention to all the monuments in which such or other things can occur,” said Nyshchuk.

The Minister of Culture also noted that Ukraine is ready to send its best specialists for carrying out work on the restoration of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Paris (Notre Dame).

Officially, the causes of ignition have not yet been established. According to the previous version, the wooden scaffolding, installed during the restoration of the cathedral, could become a source of ignition.
