President Yanukovych Speaks about Metropolitan Volodymyr's Contribution to Development of Ukraine

President Viktor Yanukovych spoke about the tremendous spiritual contribution of Metropolitan Volodymyr in the development of Ukraine in an interview to a film crew who are making a film about the metropolitan dedicated to the 20th anniversary of his ministry as the Primate.

The president noted that during the 20 years of Metropolitan Volodymyr’s ministry as the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the statehood of our independent country was born. “The respect of millions of Ukrainians for Metropolitan Volodymyr is an indication that he is a person who can be not only trusted but a person inspiring faith, hope, love. In his presence, one can feel his spiritual purity,” stressed Viktor Yanukovych.

The film about Mertropolitan Volodymyr with an interview of the president will be broadcasted by the First National Channel on April 14 at 12:15 p.m. and on April 15 at 3:00 p.m., reported the press service of Ukraine’s President.
