By the resolution of July 14, the Ukrainian government “donated” 1.4 million UAH from the state budget to build an addition to St. Andrew's Cathedral in the Novokahovka Eparchy. In the same decree 3 million UAH were allocated for the construction of a church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Kurakhovo, Donetsk region.

As it turned out, the church was already built and blessed in 2005. According to proUA, the above-mentioned construction to which the government allocated funds won first place in a regional competition of sacral architecture. A Sunday school, an icon painting studio, a pilgrimage center, and a nursing home are to be built with government money.

As a result of government decree of July 14 from the pocket of Ukrainian taxpayers who are believers of different denominations and religions, or atheists, 10 kopiyoks are taken in favor of two churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate.
