State Committee of Ukraine on Nationalities and Religions Approves Report on Church-State Relations for 2009

KYIV – On March 24, 2010, the Board of the State Committee of Ukraine on Nationalities and Religions approved the “Information report of 2009 on the status and tendencies of the development of the religious situation and state-church relations in Ukraine,” reports the Institute of Religious Freedom. 

The documents presents an analysis of the main tendencies, dynamics of changes, and prospects in developing the religious network in Ukraine, and the regular and material security of churches and religious organizations. The report also deals with the international, social, and humanitarian activity of the religious organizations and analyzes the level of observance of the current law on the freedom of worship.
