Ukrainian-Korean Reformation Festival held in Kyiv
The Reformation Festival was held on June 16-17 in the Palace of Sports in Kyiv. This was reported by the website of the Christian portal "Invictory". The festival program consisted of two parts: 12:00 - 17:00 - Social fest (open area in front of the Sports Palace). This is a complex day event, which featured the following areas: performances of creative teams, an exhibition of social services, an exhibition of Christian publishing houses, an art gallery, free children's entertainments, Korean cuisine, a prize contest. 19:00 - 22:00 - Message of Hope (Arena of the Sports Palace). This evening event, which included a musical part, a word of instruction and a testimony from the Korean speaker, Pastor John, about the root causes of the “Korean economic miracle”, as well as prayer for healing. As reported, in 2017 the whole world celebrates the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. In this regard, on 16 and 17 June, the activities were held under the general slogan “Ukraine-Korea. Reformation Festival”. Organizers explain: "Why Korea? Because South Korea, with its lightning-fast economic rise, scientific and technological progress and all social standards, is the newest bright example of the modern Reformation of society under the influence of Christian values.” The purposes of the festival: - public evangelism with prayers for healing; - presentation to the society of Ukraine of social, charitable, scientific and enlightening Christian ministries; - drawing the attention of Ukrainian society to the principles of modern Reformation of South Korea on the basis of Christian values. The organizers of Ukraine-Korea Reformation Festival are the Ukrainian Interchurch Council and the Movement for the Holy City (Republic of South Korea) with the support of R500.UA.
