Convention of the Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith of Ukraine Begins

CHERNIVTSI – On May 19, 2010, the 16th convention of the Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith of Ukraine (CCEFU) begins. Over 500 delegates, authorized representatives of all 1,500 local churches, will participate in a conference to be held in the Vefil Church in Chernivtsi.

During the convention, the participants will read the Bible together, pray, and analyze and plan future activity.

The objectives of the national Pentecostal forum include the election of the senior bishop of the association of the CCEFU and his deputies, appointment of heads of departments of ministries, and planning the church's activity for the years to come. The motto of this year's event are the words of Christ "I am coming soon."

According to the press service of the CCEFU, the United Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, the Union of Free Churches of Christians of Evangelical Faith, partner missionary, charitable, and public organizations are invited. The guests of the convention include ministers of Pentecostal association of Russia, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, USA, and other countries.

In addition to morning services, the program of the forum includes reports, seminars, lectures, and other events. The convention will end on May 21 with a press conference of the leadership of the church.
