Regular Meeting of Heads of Evangelical Protestant Churches Prepared

On April 13, 2010, a meeting of the Secretariat of the Council of Evangelical Protestant Churches of Ukraine was held under the headship of the Deputy Senior Bishop of the Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith of Ukraine.

KYIV – On April 13, 2010, in the main office of the Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith of Ukraine, a meeting of the Secretariat of the Council of Evangelical Protestant Churches of Ukraine (CEPCU)was held under the headship of the Deputy Senior Bishop of the Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith of Ukraine, reports the Institute of Religious Freedom.  

The meeting primarily covered questions of organization and the formation of the agenda of the meeting of the heads of churches, members of the Council of Evangelical Protestant Churches of Ukraine, which is to be held next week.

The secretariat of the council put together a work team to prepare documents to be submitted for the consideration by the heads of the Protestant Churches.

The members of the secretariat also analyzed the status of the church-state relations in Ukraine and discussed the development of mutual cooperation in social ministry and spreading the good news.

The Council of Evangelical Protestant Churches of Ukraine was formed in April 2005 as an advisory body. Today it includes 8 associations: the All-Ukrainian Union of Associations of Evangelical Christians Baptists, Church of the Christians of Evangelical Church of Ukraine, Ukrainian Union Conference of the Church of Seventh-day Adventists, Ukrainian Christian Evangelical Church, Brotherhood of Independent Churches and Missions of Evangelical Christian Baptists of Ukraine, Union of  Free Churches of Christians of Evangelical Faith of Ukraine, Association of Missionary Churches of Evangelical Christians of Ukraine and Ukrainian Lutheran Church.
