Almost 7.5 thousand Hasidim arrived in Ukraine

Hasidic pilgrims continue to arrive in Ukraine to celebrate the Jewish New year, almost 7.5 thousand pilgrims have arrived in Ukraine so far.

It is reported by the press service of the State Border Guard Service, UKRINFORM reports.

“So far, the border guards in the aviation checkpoints of Kyiv, Odessa, Vinnytsia, on the border with Poland, Slovakia and Romania, have registered 7 236 pilgrims according to the established,” the report says.

It is noted that the arrival of the largest groups of Hasidim is expected on September 26, and on Sunday – on September 29.

At the same time, it should be noted that from the beginning of the arrival of Hasidim – since September 6, the staff of State Border Guard Service have denied access to 4 citizens of Israel for the lack of necessary documents and a ban of entry to Ukraine issued during the previous visit.

As reported, this year the celebration of the Jewish New year Rosh Hashanah will be held from September 29 to October 1, about 40 thousand pilgrims from around the world are expected to arrive.
