The historic synagogue of Dnipro located in Yevropeyska Street hosted an event in honor of the completion of the building refurbishment, with participation of the sponsors of refurbishment and a large delegation of participants of the Early Years Experience project by the Jewish Educational Media.

The synagogue building in Yevropeyska street has a tremendous historical, cultural and spiritual value. There, the Chief Rabbi of Yekaterynoslav-Dnipropetrovsk, who led the city's community in 1909-1939, prayed as well as the righteous Rabbi Levi-Yitzhak Shneerson and his great son, Seventh Lubavitsky, Rabbi Menachem-Mendel Schneierson. This is reported by the website of the Jewish community of Dnipro.

After the community revival, the building, which was significantly repurposed and delapidated under the Soviets, was used as a boarding house for boys called Bait leBanim Mironova.

Over time, the building demanded a serious and costly reconstruction, undertaken by a member of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish community in Dnipro, Oleksandr Turchin.

The restoration of the building lasted several months, but until the day of the Yorksite, Rabbi Levi-Yitzhak Shneerson, the main works were completed; and guests, participants of the Early Years experience project were able to take part in the ceremony on the occasion of the completion of the reconstruction.

After reviewing the reconstructed dining room, the Torah scroll writing ceremony, which began with the participants of the Early Years’ Experience project in Mykolayiv, will be continued in other places related to the life and work of the Lubavichesky Rabbi. The honor to write letters in the Torah Scroll was given to honorary guests of the ceremony, patrons and revered rabbis.

“It is very symbolic that this Torah Scroll is written in a renovated house where Rabbi Levi-Yitzhak and his son, the future Lubavichesky Rabbi, prayed,” said Elkanan Shtotkin speaking at the ceremony. And he added, "I want to thank the Kaminetsky rabbi for all this exciting experience, for the terrific work he does for the benefit of the Jewish people.”
