Planes with Israeli pilgrims, the Hasidim, are arriving at the international airport in Odesa. Over three thousand passengers are expected to arrive by the end of the day and another three thousand on September 27.

Planes with Israeli pilgrims, the Hasidim, are arriving at the international airport in Odesa. Over three thousand passengers are expected to arrive by the end of the day and another three thousand on September 27.

UNIAN.net was informed by the press service of the airport that preparation for receiving about six thousand pilgrims on September 25-27 was started at the airport beforehand. Temporary terminals were constructed and temporary procedures introduced. The personnel has been transferred to the intensified work mode from 25 September to 5 October.

The safety of the pilgrims will be ensured by a special police force.

The Hasidim will travel from Odesa to Uman in the Cherkasy region.

Due to the cancellation of the visa regime between Ukraine and Israel, on September 26-27 over 30 thousand pilgrims are expected to arrive, which is a record number of pilgrims in the history of pilgrimages to Uman. Approximately 6 thousand of them will travel to Uman through Odesa.

On September 28-29, the Hasidim from all over the world will celebrate the Jewish new year at the grave of Prophet Cadik Nakhman.
