Mufti of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine "Ummah" Said Ismagilov called on religious leaders from all over the world not to attend the opening of a new mosque in the occupied Crimea. He wrote about this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"All Muslim media have published yesterday's statement by Putin regarding the opening of a new Mosque built in the occupied Crimea ... For our part, we will carefully monitor who comes to Crimea to the opening of the mosque and whether they visit it in a legally established way,” the mufti noted.

He said that the opening of the mentioned mosque in the occupied Crimea already saw invited political and spiritual leaders from different countries.

“I want to remind first of all to all the muftis, spiritual leaders and religious figures that Crimea is Ukrainian and visiting Crimea without the permission of Ukrainian authorities is a crime and violation of the state border of Ukraine,” Ismagilov noted.

The mufti also expresses hope that no Muslim religious figure “will violate Islamic norms of morality (legitimizing the occupation of Ukrainian lands in the eyes of the faithful) and state laws of Ukraine”.
