This is one of two major holidays in Islam, which Muslims celebrate all over the world. This morning, the faithful gather for a common festive prayer in mosques.

For all Muslims this celebration is a farewell to the holy month, and the time to analyze and assess their achievements during this period, how the faithful spent the days of fasting, whether they wasted timeon shameful deeds and offensive words, whether they wholeheartedly wanted to become better in the eyes of God? As Eid al-Fitr is intended primarily to summarize achievements, and feel part of a Muslim community once again.

The funds for charity are collected in advance so that the needy received these donations and could prepare for the holiday. This social assistance is called sadakat-al-Fitr, and it should be paid in the morning prayer before the holiday or a day before. Sadakat al-Fitr - alms - is a requirement for each Muslim man and woman if they want their fast be accepted by Godin case their income exceeds their basic needs.

Zakat al-Fitr is provided on behalf of each family member, even children, as the Prophet himself commanded to give alms: “Ramadan fasting is hanging between heaven and earth, if a servant of God does not offer adequate alms.”

In Ramadan, the good deeds are rewarded much more than in ordinary days. Therefore the faithful try to end the holy month and pay the obligatory annual charity for Muslims – zakat. These funds are directed to social needs.
