Interfaith Relations in Crimea to Be Discussed at Conference in Simferopol

A conference “Ethnocultural and Interfaith Relations in Crimea” will be held on November 20 in Simferopol. The event will highlight the important issues for the Crimean society that have emerged in recent years.

A conference “Ethnocultural and Interfaith Relations in Crimea” will be held on November 20 in Simferopol. The event will highlight the important issues for the Crimean society that have emerged in recent years.

As the association Alraid reported, the conference will cover the following areas:

— the history of ethnocultural and interfaith relations in Crimea;

— modern ethno-religious problems in Crimea and possible solutions in Ukraine;

— the role of civil society and religious organizations in the formation of tolerant relations in Crimea;

— protecting human rights and legal regulation of interethnic and interfaith relations;

— the role of spiritual and moral education in shaping a tolerant person;

— international experience in harmonizing interethnic and interfaith relations.

The conference will be held on November 20, 2013, at the Islamic Cultural Center in Simferopol.

The organizers invite anyone who is interested in ethnocultural and interfaith relations in Crimea to the conference.
