    Russia to become Muscovy without Ukrainian Church, Marynovych believes

    If Patriarch Kirill fails to keep hold of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Russia will turn into Muscovy. Myroslav Marynovych, vice-rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv was reported as saying this by Gazeta.ua.

    Patriarch Kirill: ROC will never agree to independence of Ukrainian Church

    The Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) will never agree to independence of the Ukrainian Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, said Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on Monday, at a ceremonial act in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior on the occasion of his 70th anniversary with the participation of the heads and representatives of all 15 Local Churches, RIA Novosti reported.

    The Ukrainian embassy in the United Kingdom criticized the Patriarch Kiril's visit to London

    Natalia Galibarenko, Ukraine’s ambassador to the UK, said that Patriarch Kirill was a former KGB agent who has been outspoken in his support of Russian aggression. She said that the invitation risked legitimising Russia’s foreign policy in the eyes of the world. She added: “Patriarch Kirill is a Kremlin mouthpiece.”
