The spokesperson for the OCU, Archbishop Yevstratiy (Zoria) commented on the court's decision to suspend the liquidation of the Kyiv Patriarchate. He called this decision "strange".

"What is so strange about this decision?

In the above case, Patriarch Filaret's side filed the motion for "securing the claim" three times - and the motion was dismissed three times. Suddenly the motion in the same case was granted at the fourth time. The motion was filed the evening of September 2, and on September 4, it was granted," the Archbishop wrote on Facebook.

"It is obvious that the court ruling will be appealed with a motion for its dismissal.

It should also be noted that the ruling does not in any way change the fact that  the "Kyiv Patriarchy of the UOC KP" is in the process of liquidation as a legal entity," said the OCU Hierarch.

On September 4, the District Administrative Court of Kyiv made a ruling to secure the claim in case No. 640/14586/19. According to that ruling, even before making a decision on the merits on the claim of the "Kyiv Patriarchy of UOC-KP" (i.e., Patriarch Filaret) in the Ministry of Culture in the case of liquidation of the legal entity "KP UOC-KP", Metropolitan Ioan (Yaremenko) was banned to undertake as the head of the Liquidation Commission, any action relating to the liquidation of the legal entity "KP UOC-KP", which is equivalent to allowance of Patriarch Filaret's claim and is expressly prohibited by law.
