Russian occupiers want the church to be registered as a religious organization in the territory of Russia. Then they allegedly will grant the premises for permanent free use.

“We have repeatedly communicated with Archbishop Klyment directly and said that we are ready to grant the premises for permanent use, not even for rent, the premises of the Cathedral of St. Vladimir and Olga if the church get registered in Russia as a religious organization,” the so-called minister of land and property relations of Crimea Anna Anihina told RBK.

According to her, there were no answers from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, so they “ask” either to register or vacate the premises.

As reported, Archbishop Klyment appealed to the international community to impose personal sanctions if the Cathedral is withdrawn from the OCU.

The OCU alleges that the actions of the occupiers are retaliation on the part of the authorities to Klyment for his human rights activities.

In addition, to meet the requirement of the occupation authorities of Crimea is to recognize legality of annexation of Crimea.
