The exarch of Constantinople notes the processes of deep unification within the OCU.

I can not predict the future but I am sure it will happen. The OCU has all the possibilities and prerequisites for obtaining the status of a Patriarchate, but first of all a process of deep association should be completed. That is, not only the former UOC-KP and UAOC, but also the hierarchs and clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church, who today are in Ukraine, should be unified,” Archbishop Daniel of Pamphylia said.

According to him, when this process is completed, the Orthodox Church of Ukraine will be able to apply to Constantinople to consider changing its ecclesial status.

“It will be a change in the Tomos and the proclamation of the Patriarchate. Constantinople has never concealed that it is quite possible,” added the archbishop.
