| Recognition by Greek Church and "domino effect"
A few days ago, the Church media were glued to the monitors, waiting for the long-awaited decision of the Synod of the Greek Church to appear. It concerned the recognition of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Although ten days ago, no one was particularly waiting for crucial decisions at the August session. Everyone is waiting for October -- it is then that the Synod of the Hierarchy (Council of Bishops in our terminology) will take place in accordance with the Charter of the Orthodox Church of Greece. The meeting of all the bishops, and they are now more than 140 in the Church of Greece, is still a more presentable event than the usual Synod of 12 Metropolitans. It is the Synod of Hierarchy, as a more representative body, that must decide on recognition of the OCU.

Orthodox patriarch does not represent us in meeting Pope, says metropolitan Hilarion Alfeyev
The chief foreign spokesman of the Russian Orthodox Church has expressed some misgivings that Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople will be meeting Pope Francis during the Pontiff’s visit to the Holy Land.
Metropolitan Hilarion said that because Patriarch Bartholomew had not consulted with other Orthodox leaders before scheduling his meeting with the Pope, he would be acting on his own behalf, not as a representative of the world’s Orthodox faithful. Although the Patriarch of Constantinople is traditionally recognized as the “first among equals” in the Orthodox hierarchy, the Russian Orthodox argues that he exercises that primacy only when other Orthodox patriarchs explicitly authorize him to do so. In the absence of such a mandate, Metropolitan Hilarion said, Patriarch Bartholomew will be representing only his own particular church, the Patriarchate of Constantinople.

The Unity of Christianity will occur before the End of the World this is prophesied, only there will be TWO (2) "UnitIes of Christianity" One True Orthodox Christianity (TRUE CHRISTIANITY), and the second one this false unity which will lead the false churches Into the worship of "the christ, who will be at the same time the messiah of the Kaballah Jews, the Mahdi of the Moslems, and the sorry expectations of all other false religions all together worshipping in the Synagogue of Satan = Temple of Solomon & He will be AntiChrist!!!
It's also about time the Russian Orthodox Church leaders behave like Christians. Their obnoxious, self righteous "our church is the one true church" posture is repulsive.
What the "First Among Equals" or "Primacy of Honor" means is simply this: When all the Patriarchs would meet, he would chair the meetings. He would keep the records of these meetings and if there were disputes among the Patriarchs, he would act as an arbitrator. THAT'S IT! NOTHING MORE! Pat. Bart IS NOT the "Spiritual Leader" of all the Orthodox. We don't have an "Eastern Pope." + Hilarion is exactly correct; + Bart's action is his own, but not the act of ALL the Orthodox!
It is time that the two lungs of the Mother Church, Roman and Eastern, unite again.
