The head of Chernivtsi Regional State Administration, Mykhailo Papiev, said that over 1,000 representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will ensure security during the event.

The head of the executive the regional authorities of Bukovyna, Mykhailo Papiev, said in a commentary to journalists that “there will be no limitations of the traffic on the motor way from Chernivtsi to Bancheny. The only request is that the believers should get to the place of the consecration of the cathedral beforehand.”

Papiev said that over 1,000 representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will ensure security during the event. Parking space for more than 10,000 cars has been arranged. Entry into the territory of the monastery for vehicles and persons is free, no permits are required. Papiev also assured that all measures to ensure the safety of the believers have been taken, Yurii Chornei reported to RISU.

According to Dmytro Pavel, the head of the Department of Infrastructure and Tourism of Chernivtsi Regional State Administration, during the visit of Patriarch Kirill, buses will be provided for all interested persons. “On October 2, six buses will run from Chernivtsi to Banchen.”

A visit of a spiritual person of this level for our region is an outstanding event. The stay of Patriarch Kirill in Bukovyna makes the status and image of our land higher and, therefore, the attention of the authorities and public has been drawn to it,” said Mykahilo Papiev.

He also said that the visit is primarily an event in the religious life of Orthodox believers. “In our country, the church is separated from the state, religion does not interfere in the political affairs, and let politicians not interfere in religious affairs,” said the head of the regional state administration.
