It is not excluded that the “Ukrainian church issue” will be resolved.

First, the Ecumenical Patriarchate does not call itself the “Mother Church” at general Orthodox meetings. Such a definition is used only when it comes to Ukraine or the Kyiv Metropolis.

Secondly, the Tomos is really important in the context of the entire Orthodox world.

It should be noted that in the practice of the Local Orthodox Churches the decisions that are fundamentally important are taken as follows: initially, the Synod convenes (a narrow circle of influential bishops) at which the decision is made -- followed by the Council or assembly of the entire episcopate at which the decision is discussed and approved.
