Ukrainians and Poles will pray jointly in a traditional event held at the Lviv military cemetery of Polish and Ukrainian Galician Army servicemen on Nov. 1.

The event confirms determination of once-warring parties to draw the line on their dark past and build a united and peaceful Europe.

The first such praying was on Nov. 1, 2002. It was attended by cardinals Liubomyr Huzar and Maryan Yavorski, human rights activists Yatsek Kuron, Mykhailo Horyn, Myroslav Marynovych and by  a hundred of Polish and Ukrainian public leaders.
