UCU Launches New Program in Liturgical Sciences

The Philosophy and Theology Faculty of the Ukrainian Catholic University is starting a new program for the advanced study of the liturgical heritage of the Byzantine tradition.

LVIVThe Philosophy and Theology Faculty of the Ukrainian Catholic University is starting a new program for the advanced study of the liturgical heritage of the Byzantine tradition, especially, the thousand-year old tradition of the Kyivan Church. RISU’s Ukrainian-language website posted this story on June 11.

Individuals with basic and general training in Eastern Catholic Theology (STB or equivalent) are invited to apply for the licentiate program, in particular, theologians who participate in liturgical committees and programs at various levels, priests in pastoral ministries, or candidates awaiting consecration as well as monastic and lay theologians and catechists.

The program includes 4 semesters, 15 subjects, 3 seminars, and the writing of two academic articles.
