Oleksandr Fatsevich checked the work of the working group of the operational headquarters and the work of the consolidated detachment. Jointly with the Chief of Police of Cherkasy region Valery Lyuty, he traveled around the place of compact accommodation of pilgrims, checked the checkpoints and stationary posts. Oleksandr Fatsevich notes that the Cherkasy police are ready to ensure the public order and safety of citizens in the city of Uman. “Police keep everything under control. Employees of the explosive engineering service, special forces, patrol police, cynologists and service dogs work in two shifts. The operational headquarters has all the technical capabilities to control and ensure security during the events. Law enforcers carry out service in an enhanced mode. As of September 5, about three thousand pilgrims have arrived to Uman,” said the deputy head of the National Police. He added that on September 6, 20 Israeli policemen are to arrive in Uman to cooperate and assist in communicating with foreign guests. There are 46 hiking trails, 17 stationary posts, 10 checkpoints and 2 visa support points developed in the service area. At the time of the events, traffic is blocked in the place of compact stay of Hasidim pilgrims.
