William Paul Young will visit Ukraine as part of the 5th Kyiv International Festival of the Christian Book held simultaneously with the spring Medvin Book Fair. The American visitor will present the Ukrainian edition of his best-seller “The Shack,” which has already appeared in 37 languages in 40 countries, the total number of copies reaching 15 million. According to Kapranov, the visit of the American writer will be a significant event in the literary life of Ukraine.

“It will be the first visit of Young to a CIS country. The farthest place he visited was Germany and Serbia,” said the organizer of the festival, Taras Boiko.

Paul Young will be a special guest of the Medvin Book Fair together with the Russian author of “Night Watch” Sergei Lukyanenko and science fiction writers Maryna and Serhii Diachenko and Dmytro Bykov.

“Paul Young will have a rich program: workshops for writers, an open lecture in one of the universities of Kyiv, a meeting with the readers and participation in a talk show,” Boiko said.
