The park Volodymyr's Hill in Kyiv is to be reconstructed in the nearest future, UNIAN reported, citing the press service of the Kyivan City State Administration.

In particular, it is planned to recreate Panorama Golgotha and increase the number of arbors and park benches. In addition, it is planned to install new light towers and create landscape compositions.

Representatives of the press service noted that the park is in an unsatisfactory condition: benches are broken, staircase railings are missing, the watering system is out of order, slopes need to be reinforced, light towers and pavement covering need to be replaced. The plantation also needs to be put in order. The municipal association “Kyivzelenbud” assures that the park will meet the requirements of a European capital.

The area of the park is 10.6 ha. The monument to Prince Volodymyr the Great, which is the symbol of baptism of Kyivan Rus' and the most popular tourist attraction, is located on its territory. The park is also known for its arbor and a great number of observation points from which one can see the Dnipro River and the left bank of the city. The park is situated near St. Michael’s Cathedral and the St. Sophia Square. A large number of hotels and architectural monuments, sculptures and other important objects are located near the park.
