Viktor Yushchenko Signs Decree to Mark 450th Anniversary of Peresopnytsia Gospel

KYIV — Ukraine’s President Viktor Yushchenko commissioned the Cabinet of Ministers and State Committee on TV and Radio Broadcast to organize events to mark the 450^th anniversary of the Peresopnytsia edition of the Gospel in 2011 by his decree of December 17, 2009, reports the presidential press service.   

The Cabinet of Ministers is to set up an organizational committee to be composed of representatives of central and local executive authorities, local self-government bodies, public organizations, and scholars.

According to the decree, the cabinet together with the Rivne regional state administration and with the participation of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine should within three months develop the measures for 2010-2011 to prepare and celebrate the 450^th anniversary of the Peresopnytsia Gospel and ensure its financing.
