American Fund to Restore Mosaics of Golden Dome Cathedral of St. Michael

On 8 August, a meeting between the leadership of the National Reserve Sophia of Kyiv and representatives of the American Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation was held regarding the use of a grant allocated to the Ukrainian side to implement a project of the preservation of a collection of authentic mosaics of the 12th century of the Golden Dome cathedral of St. Michael kept in the stocks of the Sophia of Kyiv.  

According to the Мinistry of Culture of Ukraine, the amount of the grant allocated by the American Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation to implement the project “Work on the preservation of a collection of authentic mosaics of the 12th century of the Golden Dome Cathedral of St. Michael” totals 45,850 US dollars. The grant expires on 30 June 2013.
