It was built to mark the 65th anniversary of the deportation of Lemkos. The bell tower and the bell itself were blessed by the Apostolic Administrator of the Buchach Eparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Fr. The head of the Ternopil Regional State Administration Mykhailo Tsymbaliuk, who was the first to ring the new bell, announced to those present that a resolution was passed to build a Lemko open air museum – a wooden Lemko church. He is sure that it will become a center for the spiritual life of the Lemkos.
