On June 22 Events Dedicated to Beginning of Great Patriotic War and Commemoration of War Victims to Be Held by UOC-MP

According to a report of the website of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, on June 22, the date of beginning of the Great Patriotic War and the Day of Sorrow and Remembrance of Victims of War, events will be held.

KYIV – According to a report of the website of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, on June 22, the date of beginning of the Great Patriotic War [Soviet name for a part of WWII] and the Day of Sorrow and Remembrance of Victims of War, events will be held in the territory of the capital park Pobeda and the estate of the Church of All Holy Soldiers in commemoration of this historical date.  Along with the Synodal Department for charity and social service of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, the Kyiv city council and Dnieprovskyi regional council of veterans of Afghanistan and other public organizations, will participate in the events.
