In the context of recent events in the Orthodox world, disputes over the boundaries of church institutions often arise between the Patriarchate of Constantinople, Kyiv and Moscow. Ukraine accuses Russia of misappropriating the territory of the Kyiv Metropolis. In its turn, Moscow appeals to the fact that the ancient Kyiv Metropolis differs from the territory of modern Ukraine. RISU decided to clarify this topic, getting advice from historians. Based on this research, we prepared an infographic.

Regional Taize meeting to be held in Lviv
The prior of the world-famous Ecumenical Community of Taizé, brother Alois, during the European Youth Summit held in Basel (Switzerland), announced that the regional meeting of Taizé will be held in Lviv. It will take place from April 28 to May 1, reports credo.pro.
"We will have such a great opportunity to gather young people in your beautiful country. We are still extremely surprised with the fact that many people from Ukraine are coming to Taizé today, covering thousands of kilometers across Europe. It's not easy trip. Therefore, we are pleased that Ukrainian youth joins this movement. In addition, Roman Catholic, Greek Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant young people come from Ukraine - and they all go together, "said brother Alois.
According to him, in Riga first regional meeting of Taizé took place, and then Riga already welcomed young people as the capital of Taizé's European meeting.
Perhaps, in future Lviv will host Taizé's European meeting, he supposed.
"Let's take one step, then the next. Slowly, gradually ... Let us enjoy this opportunity to unite. It will also help us and the people who come to your country to pray for peace in Ukraine. This is one of the reasons why we want to come to Ukraine and show that we are with you in this difficult situation that lasts a long time, " says Brother Alois.
