Ukrainian activists will appeal to the international community urging to impose personal sanctions against those involved in the attack on August 31 on the Church of the Equal-to-The-Apostolic Princess Olga and Prince Volodymyr of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate in Simferopol.

According to the Censor.NET, which cited Krym Realii, Andriy Ivanets, coordinator of the “Tavria Humanitarian Platform” reported it on September 5 at a press conference in Kyiv.

“Regarding the persons involved in the unlawful pressure on the faithful of the Kyivan Patriarchate, in particular those who participated in the attack on August 31 on the main church of Crimea, we are appealing to the international community, to the countries that have already imposed sanctions against the aggressor country, with the requirement to impose personal sanctions ... and strengthen sector sanctions against Russia for gross and systematic violations of human rights in the Crimea,” said Ivanets.

Andriy Shchekun, director of the Ukrainian state-owned enterprise “National newspaper and magazine publishing house”, added that the activists will also apply to the human rights activists, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Shchekun also specified that the citizens of neighboring Russia were involved in the attack of August 31 on the Church of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga and Prince Volodymyr of the UOC-KP in Simferopol.
