UGCC Chapel and Priest Attacked in Eastern Ukraine

The Chapel of the Holy Virgin of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and house of the priest in Eastern Ukraine were attacked.

The Chapel of the Holy Virgin of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) and house of the priest in the town of Kreminna in Luhansk Oblast (Donbas) were attacked. Unknown persons made four shots in a window at night. No one was injured. A police investigation is underway, the website of the Donetsk-Kharkiv Exarchate of the UGCC reported on March 23.

According to the parish priest, Fr. Onufrii Repetskyi of the Order of St. Basil the Great, who came to the town to serve only a few days ago, some of the unknown persons want to intimidate the priest and parishioners. In his comment, the priest said that the incident does not even deserve special attention for “God is with us, so who can be against us?”
