The document states: “The architectural monument of local importance - a complex of religious buildings and structures of the Church of St. Nicholas (St Anne) shall pass to the religious organization under the acceptance and transfer certificate.”

The Church of St. Anne in Bar is one of the best examples of Gothic Revival throughout Ukraine.

In addition, it is also unique as it is the only instance in our country where two churches of different denominations are so closely located: the Catholic temple literally borders on the Orthodox temple, they are separated by only a small wrought fence.

Built at the beginning of the nineteenth century, the Catholic temple remains one of the most striking and memorable architectural constructions. Sharp spiers, magnificent exterior with stucco relief and noble forms - all these are available in the building.

The temple was built in 1811. According to historical data, it was erected for the Dominican Order, very popular among Western Catholics in XVIII century.

For a long time this part of Vinnytsia region was governed by the Polish nobility that inculcated the Catholic faith on local land, which explains the architectural style of the temple and other shrines of Bar.

Church of St. Anne has a truly legendary history that dates back to the Middle Ages. It is believed that as early as in 1500 there was already a church in this place, which was further enlarged and rebuilt. Presumably, the temple could bear a different name - St. Nicholas. Since then, many changes have been made to the internal structure of the temple and its appearance. It acquired its modern appearance in 1908. Nowadays, the sanctuary is open to all believers.
